1. Delete From Within the App (Recommended)
The fastest way to permanently delete your account is from inside Spindle & Stones:
- Open the app and sign in.
- Tap the Profile tab in the bottom navigation.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion when prompted.
Your account and all associated data are removed immediately upon confirmation. No further action is required.
2. Request Deletion by Email
If you can no longer access the app — for example, you have uninstalled it or lost access to your device — you can request deletion by email:
- Email: info@spindleandstones.com
- Subject line: Account Deletion Request
- Include the email address associated with your Spindle & Stones account.
- If you signed in with Apple or Google, include the email Apple or Google shared with the app at sign-in (this is the email visible in the app's profile screen).
We will verify your identity by replying to the email address on the account, then complete the deletion within 30 days. Most requests are processed within 7 days.
3. What Gets Deleted
When your account is deleted, we permanently remove the following from our systems:
- Your profile information — name, email, gender, birth date, birth time, birth place, blood type, dominant hand, zodiac sign, relationship status, and spiritual preferences.
- Palm photos uploaded for palmistry readings.
- All saved readings, oracle conversations, and dream entries.
- Any loved-one or "My Circle" profiles you created.
- Your stardust balance and in-app activity history.
- Your authentication record (sign-in credentials).
4. What May Be Retained
A small amount of data may be retained after deletion for legal, financial, or fraud-prevention reasons:
- Transaction records: Records of in-app purchases (stardust packs and subscriptions) are retained by RevenueCat, Apple, and Google for tax, accounting, and refund-handling obligations — typically up to 7 years as required by law. These records identify the transaction but are not used to re-create your profile.
- Backups: Routine system backups may contain copies of your data for up to 30 days after deletion. Backups are encrypted and inaccessible to staff except for disaster recovery, and they overwrite themselves on a rolling basis.
- Aggregate analytics: Anonymous, non-identifying usage statistics that cannot be linked back to you may persist indefinitely.
5. Time Frame
In-app deletions are immediate. Email-based requests are processed within 30 days of receipt and verification. You will receive a confirmation email when the deletion is complete.
6. Stardust and Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not automatically refund unused stardust or cancel an active premium subscription:
- Stardust: Unused stardust is forfeited upon deletion and cannot be transferred or refunded.
- Subscriptions: If you have an active premium subscription, cancel it through your device's subscription settings (Apple App Store or Google Play) before deleting your account. Account deletion alone does not stop subscription billing.
Refund requests for purchases follow the policies of the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and must be made through them.
